The WQHD displays are geared toward business and performance users.
Samsung has announced the release of two new monitors. The S27D850 and S32D850 both feature quad HD panels, offering twice the resolution of full HD screens.
"The SD850 redefines the upper limit for enterprise-level monitors. We have designed the monitor to empower users that demand the most innovative display technology possible for producing their highest quality work," said Seoggi Kim, Senior Vice President, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics. "The SD850 delivers the form, functionality and features that set a new standard for business monitors, and its sleek, ergonomic design perfectly complements the stunning quality of the display."
Both monitors have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The 27-inch models features a PLS panel with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 350 cd/m2 brightness. Meanwhile, the 32-inch model features a VA panel with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 300 cd/m2 brightness. Both models have 5ms response times and 100% sRGB color support. In addition, each monitor includes picture-in-picture options and a 178° viewing angle.
Pricing and availability have not been detailed yet.
