The latest Galaxy tablet will hit stores this week.
Samsung has announced US pricing and availability for the Galaxy Tab A 10.1" with S Pen. The tablet will be available at select retailers and www.samsung.com on October 28.
"With an embedded S Pen, consumers can discover more ways to express themselves. They can write, draw and edit with precision. They can even take screenshots, select brush and color options to draw on photos or create GIFs," said Gary Riding, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics America. "All of this comes to life on the Tab A's stunning 10.1" high-resolution screen."
The new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 includes Samsung's S Pen with improved pressure sensitivity and a ballpoint pen-like experience. Likewise, the tablet incorporates the new Samsung Notes app, which combines the company's suite of writing apps, like Action Memo, S Note and Scrapbook, in one location for a seamless experience. The tablet features a TFT LCD WUXGA screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Exynos 7870 octa-core processor and 3 GB RAM running Android Marshmallow 6.0. An 8.0 MP AF rear camera and a 2.0 MP front camera are integrated as well. The product also offers 16GB of storage along with a microSD slot for up to an additional 256GB. Connectivity options include WIFI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, BT v4.2 LE, and USB 2.0. Finally, the 7,300mAH battery is rated for about 13 hours of video playback and up to 14 hours of Internet time.
Samsung's Galaxy Tab A 10.1" with S Pen will start shipping this Friday in white or black for a suggested retail price of $350.
