The company's CES audio lineup has been revealed.
Samsung has announced the latest additions to its home audio offerings. The collection includes a new Dolby Atmos-enabled soundbar model.
"Our 2016 lineup of audio products offers the most immersive sound ever experienced in the home," said John JY Kim, Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. "Samsung's new Soundbar with Dolby Atmos® technology, delivers the ultimate in cinematic home entertainment, especially when paired with Samsung’s new SUHD TVs."
The HW-K950 Soundbar features integrated Dolby Atmos technology. In addition, the system includes a subwoofer and a pair of Dolby Atmos-enabled wireless rear speakers, offering a full 5.1.4 immersive audio experience. The soundbar uses three forward-facing and two upwards-facing speakers to create ear-level and overhead sound. Meanwhile, Samsung has also revealed new colors and patterns for its Wireless Audio 360 speaker series along with an improved multi-room app and new Smart Home functionality.
Pricing and availability for the HW-K950 Dolby Atmos Soundbar have not been announced yet, but the speaker system will be on hand at Samsung's booth at CES in Las Vegas from January 6-9.
