Digital distribution of movies from 20th Century Fox, Disney, Paramount, Sony, Universal, and Warner Bros hits PSN this week.
Since it has Blu-ray functionality built right in, streaming video didn’t seem all that important on the PS3 at the first onset. Adding Netflix was a great start, and now Sony’s signed up the big six movie studios for digital releases on their network.
New releases today include 'Jennifer’s Body,' 'Up,' 'Star Trek,' 'District 9,' 'Zombieland,' 'Inglourious Basterds,' 'The Hangover,' and 'The Wizard of Oz.' All these new releases are in high definition, and are available for rental or for purchase.
Download pricing is only $14.99. Of course, if you’re picky about your video and audio, Blu-ray will still give you the best of both.
