Looks to either be the LCD Vita or Vita TV.
Sony has sent out an invite to several media outlets (mainly UK based) teasing a product announcement on January 30th. "Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest." While it may be any number of PS products that are announced, all signs point to one of two devices which are currently available in Japan.
Considering Sony's marketing moves in Europe , it looks either the PCH-2000 Vita, or the PS Vita TV will be making their way west. The PS Vita TV, which is a combination set-top box and DualShock3 powered Vita device would be extremely welcome by several groups of fans, especially as the smallest and cheapest PlayStation Now game-streaming device.
The PCH-2000 on the other hand, might mean trouble for some. The version 2 of the PS Vita has some improvements such as a built-in 1GB of usable memory, a variety of case colors, redesigned secondary buttons (Start, Select, etc.), and a better charging design, but comes with a LCD in place or the original Vita's beautiful OLED screen.
Once again, anyone interested in owning a Vita is encouraged to pick up an OLED model while they are available. The switch to LCD s thought to be a cost-saving measure.
