From the sound of things, it will come in DVD/Blu-ray form, skipping theaters.
'Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney' has just been screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and it's been met with high praise. It's over the top and ridiculous, just like the games, but as Twitch Film's Ard Vijin says that if you're the kind of person who is willing to have some fun, you'll love the flick.
The movie is helmed by director Takashi Miike, who you may know as the dude behind 'Audition' and 'Ichi the Killer.' During a Q&A at the film festival, Miike confirmed that 'Phoenix Wright' will be coming to the US and other markets.
Miike says that each region will keep the Japanese soundtrack but add subs and dubs for the voices. Since he mentions both subtitles and dubbed voices, we're guessing that's not a theatrical release. He adds that each region will be seeing and hearing the character names from their version of the game.
