And you thought it couldn't get any worse! Just in case you actually want to see the movie again, now you can do it while wearing annoying glasses.
George Lucas doesn't understand. His prequel films made plenty of money, which leads him to believe that they were actually good. He can't possibly have missed the criticism though - some of it had to filter through.
Many cited the acting in 'The Phantom Menace' as being flat and who hasn't called attention to the completely one-dimensional characters in the film? Lucas heard the complaints, he just didn't understand them.
To fix it all, he's taken the flat acting and made it pop out of the screen in 3D.
On a serious note, the 'Star Wars' films really are coming to theaters again, and they're coming in 3D. It kicks off with 'Phantom Menace' on February 10 of next year. If that does well, we get the next film in the series. That's right, if no one sees 'Phantom Menace' and so on, you'll never get 'Empire Strikes Back' in 3D. You can decide for yourself if it's worth the price.
