The acclaimed Sean Penn-directed 'Into the Wild' isn't due to hit high-def until early February, but we have an early peek at the box art for the much-anticipated HD DVD release.
As we've previously reported, Paramount Home Entertainment will debut the Oscar hopeful on HD DVD February 12, 2008, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Among the previously-announced extras are the "Into the Wild: The Story, The Characters" and "Into the Wild: The Experience" featurettes, plus the film's theatrical trailer.
Tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 Surround audio.
Now Paramount has revealed cover art for the HD DVD edition, which offers a new take on the film's original theatrical key art:
As previously announced, MSRP for the HD DVD is $39.95.
