The 'Wayne's World' films are coming to high-def, with Paramount Home Entertainment announcing a mid-May Blu-ray release for the pair of hit comedies .
Based on an original "Saturday Night Live" recurring sketch, and starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, 'Wayne's World' remains the biggest hit ever spawned by the venerable comedy series, eventually earning over $300 million at the worldwide box office.
Paramount has alerted retailers to a May 12 Blu-ray release for the original film, as well as its less-successful sequel, 'Wayne's World 2.' Both titles will be issued as stand-alone editions, and at press time, there has been no two-pack bundle or box set announced.
There are also no tech or supplement specs available as of yet, but full press details are expected in the days ahead. As always, we'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail price for each Blu-ray has been set at $29.99 a pop.
