Paramount Home Entertainment has announced it will bring the seminal '70s classic 'Saturday Night Fever' to Blu-ray and HD DVD this September.
One of the most influential films of it era, 'Saturday Night Fever' turned John Travolta into a star, scored the Bee Gees an unprecedented string of No. 1 disco hits, and single-handedly made the world safe for white polyester leisure suits.
Paramount has set a September 18 bow for the film's high-def debut on both Blu-ray and HD DVD.
Though no specs have yet been announced, the next-gen versions will debut simultaneously with a new 30th Anniversary Edition on standard-def DVD, so we can only hope for a wealth of new bonus content.
Paramount has set a retail price of $29.95 for both versions.
