The big-budget fantasy-adventure 'Stardust' will be hitting HD DVD with plenty of supplemental features, but no high-res audio.
As we've previously reported, last month Paramount announced a December 18 high-def debut for 'Stardust,' day-and-date with the standard DVD. Now the studio has revealed specs for the Claire Danes/Robert De Niro/Michelle Pfeiffer flick, which despite a disappointing run at the box office this summer will get the full special edition treatment in its next-gen debut.
Extras are set to include the documentary "Good Omens: The Making of 'Stardust'" (in HD), a collection of five Deleted Scenes, a Blooper Reel, and the film's original Theatrical Trailer (also in HD).
Tech specs boast 1080p video (codec TBA), but the studio is once again eschewing high-res audio, releasing the disc with English, French and Spanish tracks in Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 Surround only (1.5mbps).
Finally, the studio has unveiled the disc's final cover art:
As prevously announced, MSRP for the HD DVD is $39.98.
You'll find final disc details for 'Stardust' linked from our HD DVD Release Schedule, where it is indexed under December 18.
