Paramount Home Entertainment has announced it will bow the sci-fi thriller 'Next' on Blu-ray and HD DVD this September.
Starring Nicolas Cage and Jessica Biel, and inspired by a celebrated Philip K. Dick novel, 'Next' failed to light up the box office this past winter, grossing a relatively paltry $35 million. However, with Cage's 'Ghost Rider' currently burning up the Blu-ray charts and sci-fi often scoring big numbers on home video, 'Next' may find a new audience on high-def.
Paramount is due to bow the thriller on September 25 on both next-gen formats, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD release.
The studio has not yet announced any tech or supplemental details, though full specs are expected in the days ahead.
Retail price will list for a suggested $39.95 for both formats.
We've added a new listing for 'Next' to our Blu-ray Release Schedule and HD DVD Release Schedule, under September 25. Stay tuned for final specs and box art in the coming weeks.
