'American Beauty' Blu-ray Officially Announced

The five time Oscar winner will be released on Blu-ray in September as part of Paramount's Sapphire Series.
Paramount is preparing to release Sam Mendes' 'American Beauty' starring Kevin Spacey, Annette Bening, and Thora Birch on Blu-ray on September 21.
As previously reported, the title showed up on the Canadian branch of Amazon a few weeks ago, but there has been no official U.S. release confirmation until now.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Commentary with director Sam Mendes and screenwriter Alan Ball; American Beauty – Look Closer...; Storyboard presentation with Sam Mendes and director of photography Conrad L. Hall; and two theatrical trailers.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray is $29.99.
