An updated 4K tablet has been detailed.
Panasonic has announced the release of an upgraded Toughpad 4K Performance tablet. The new FZ-Y1D features improved specs and is geared toward visual professionals.
The tablet features a 20-inch 3840 x 2560 LCD screen. In addition, the device now includes an HDMI 2.0 input with HDCP 2.2 that is capable of displaying up to Digital Cinema 4K (4090 x 2160, 60 fps) content. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by an Intel Core i7-5600U vPro processor and an AMD FirePro M5100 graphics chip running Windows 10 Pro or Windows 7 Professional. The updated specs are deisgned to meet the needs of photography, videography, computer-aided design (CAD), high-end retail and healthcare professionals.
Panasonic's upgraded FZ-Y1D Toughpad 4K Performance tablet is now available with Windows 10 Pro for $4,299. A Windows 7 model will be released in January.
