The RPG will be out in June, with a smartphone release later down the line.
Browser based games from companies like Zynga have been around for some time and are generally looked down upon by the greater gaming community. Not without good reason of course, many of them are designed to be time and money sinks and don't aspire to provide a rich experience.
No matter what your opinion of the game style is, you can't ignore the amount of money that flows in from games that everyone can play regardless of the quality of their computer. Well, you can ignore it, but Capcom can't - they're bringing their first browser based game to market on June 28th.
The game, 'Onimusha Soul' will have action and puzzle elements and will incorporate RPG elements. It will also have social portions that allow you to work cooperatively or competitively with your friends. Call it a hunch, but we're guessing Jean Reno won't make an appearance.
