Virtual reality demo had been planned with 'DriveClub' tie-in.
Back in the fall, rumors of a PS4 VR had the device being held by Sony just behind the scenes. The device is described as the PS4's answer to Oculus Rift, and in theory benefits from Sony's 3D tech experience, including their personal 3D viewers.
The new rumor sets the public reveal for GDC in March. According to a source at Techradar, the headset is an impressive piece. "The quality and resolution are really, really good. People will definitely be impressed with what Sony's built."
Of course Sony has been mum on updates regarding the delayed 'DriveClub,' which has been rumored as the demonstration piece for the PS4 VR headset.
Even if Sony has plans to reveal the headset in a month's time, those plans can change. As it is, Sony's moving forward with PlayStation Now, the launch of the PS4 in Japan, and worldwide sales of the PS4 reaching past 5.3 million.
