Warner/New Line will unleash nearly a dozen top catalog titles on Blu-ray this September, running a diverse slate of action, horror, and comedy favorites.
On September 8, the studio will raid its vaults for ten titles, each making its high-def debut.
Coming from Warner are 'Sphere,' 'The Postman,' 'Creepshow,' 'Dead Calm,' 'Over the Top' and the Razzie Award masterpiece 'Catwoman.'
Due from New Line is a spate of mostly horror titles, including 'Freddy vs. Jason,' 'Snakes on a Plane' and the hit remake of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,' as well as Terence Malick's 'The New World: Extended Cut.'
'Creepshow,' 'Dead Calm' and 'Over the Top' will contain no announced extras, while all other titles will feature the same package of supplements as found on the previous DVD editions.
All tiles will also be remastered in 1080p/VC-1 video, with exact audio specs unavailable at press time, though most (if not all) are expected to include Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround tracks. We'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail price for each Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
We'll be adding listings for all ten titles to our Blu-ray Release Schedule throughout the day, where they will be indexed under September 8.
