There's no title yet, but John Mayer has announced plans to bring his first concert release to Blu-ray by the end of the summer.
According to Billboard/Reuters, sometime this summer a new Blu-Ray release (day-and-date with a CD/DVD set) from Mayer will hit stores, recorded at a December 2007 show at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre. Plans are to include an acoustic performance, a full-band set, and Mayer collaborations with his Trio, featuring drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino.
There are no further specs or supplement details for the as-yet-untitled Blu-ray release, but we'll certainly keep you posted.
In the meantime, you'll find a preliminary listing for 'John Mayer (Untitled)' added to the "Release Dates Pending" section of our Blu-ray Release Schedule.
