Start on the PS3 and continue on the PS4.
The major league baseball season has just kicked off, but in a lot of ways, Sony's 'MLB The Show' game series has an even more passionate fan base. 'MLB 14 The Show' is right around the corner for the PS3 and Vita. Meanwhile, the PS4 version is coming in May. The series supports bringing in save files from previous years, and Sony has also disclosed that the PS3 and PS4 versions of this year's title support cross-platform saves, which means that players can start a season on the PS3 next week and move to the PS4 in May.
In the launch trailer, Sony proudly trumps that 'The Show' is "the highest rated sports franchise for the past 8 years." No mention is made of how long the current commentary has been in place.
