It was one of the big features touted in previews, but it's just not there.

If you saw any of the early previews for the Kinect, Microsoft's new motion sensing device for the Xbox 360, you've probably gotten excited by some of the possibilities. For example, at Microsoft's E3 press conference the company showed compatibility with the Netflix streaming service. Using Kinect, they said, you'll be able to scroll through your movies 'Minority Report' style, without having to use a remote.

Order 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'

Coming to Blu-ray June 12th

Early adopters with dreams of controller-free control will be in for some disappointment though – Netflix just isn't there yet. Another service boasted at E3, Facebook, is similarly nonexistent.

If you really need to get your controller-free video fix though, you can jump on the Zune Marketplace or scroll through the latest games with the free ESPN app.
