A big reveal is being teased for May 15th at Silverstone.
Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi is teasing the future of the series as part of its 15th anniversary. 'Gran Turismo 5' has been out for two and a half years and only arrived after an expensive five years of development. Even once released, the game continued to see significant patches that suggested continued development.
Nevertheless, 15 years of 'Gran Turismo' sees the series as one the most influential in terms of racing games and a trailblazer in terms of accruing massive amounts of real world manufactures and tracks in a single game.
To celebrate, Sony and Polyphony Digital are hosting an event at the prestigious Silverstone Circuit. The event ties into GT Academy and will see participants racing the famed circuit. 'Gran Turismo 6' has rumored to have been in development since before 'Gran Turismo 5' even released, and an official reveal would be welcome by fans.
It would however, be unsurprising if the reveal teases something 'Gran Turismo' for the PS4 without anything so solid as a name. Something along the lines of a single car, single track time-trial could be on the way for the new console ahead of a full release. Whatever Kazunori has in mind, it is only a week away.
