'Avatar' Smashes Blu-ray Sales Record

Despite being a bare-bones release, James Cameron's groundbreaking epic has dethroned 'The Dark Knight' and raised the bar for first-day Blu-ray sales!
According to an article published by the Hollywood Reporter, yesterday's Earth Day home video release of 'Avatar' sold 1.5 million Blu-ray units, effectively overthrowing Christopher Nolan's Batman sequel as the long-reigning king.
The article also suggests the release is well on its way to surpassing 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' as the best-selling title of 2010.
