Complete detail have just come in for Fox Home Entertainment's second wave of Blu-ray disc titles, and it's another impressive batch boasting high-end audio and extensive supplemental features.
As announced earlier this month, Fox will launch five new titles in December. Leading the wave is the surprise box office blockbuster 'The Devil Wears Prada' on December 12, preceded by 'From Hell,' 'Rising Sun' and 'Flight of the Phoenix' on December 5, and finally 'Transporter 2' on December 26.
All five titles will include 1080p/MPEG-2 video transfers and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio soundtracks (except 'From Hell' and 'Rising Sun,' which will be encoded in AVC MPEG-4).
Among the featured extras are audio commentaries on 'Phoenix,' 'Prada' and 'From Hell,' with the latter two also featuring deleted scenes and a pop-up trivia track. 'From Hell' has also been confirmed as Fox's next BD-50 dual-layer release, in addition to being authored in the BD-J Java environment for enhanced user interactivity.
Fox has set a $39.95 list price for each title.
Note that two additional titles originally expected in December, 'The Sentinel' and 'Entrapment,' have not yet been confirmed by the studio for Blu-ray release.
