Steam version due just over a year after the 360 version.
'Fez,' a game that garnered hype for years while in development due to its charming art style before bringing its rotating platforming puzzle of a world to the 360, is finally coming to the PC. The game sets the player forever searching through the four vertical planes of the environment for a number of key-like pieces, and was incredibly well received as worth the wait.
Unfortunately, what marred the experience for many players, were a persistent set of crashes, which lead to a patch. Even still, many were unable to complete even the basic goals of the game. As a result, Polytron, the game's developer, was compelled to admit that the cost of certifying the game after each patch was reason enough to abandon needed fixes.
And now a game that could be described as functionally flawed to a biased extreme will come to the PC, yet players should expect that any progression breaking bugs not already addressed won't go without solution.
From Polytron, "In it (Fez), you play as Gomez, a 2D creature living in what he believes is a 2D world. Until a strange and powerful artifact reveals to him the existence of a mysterious third dimension."
'Fez' is currently scheduled for May 1st.
