Fox has officially announced 'In the Name of the King,' which will hit high-def with an exclusive-to-Blu-ray director's cut and additional bonus features.
As previously reported, Fox first alerted retailers to a December 16 Blu-ray bow for 'In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale' (day-and-date with the standard DVD), but stopped short of issuing an official media announcement.
Now final specs are in, which will see the studio present the Uwe Boll-directed adventure-fantasy in a Unrated cut exclusive to the Blu-ray release, featuring 35 minutes of never-before-seen footage. Also included is an audio commentary by Boll that won't be found on the standard DVD.
Extras shared between both releases include a behind-the-scenes featurette, deleted scenes, and theatrical trailers.
Tech specs for the Blu-ray will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1Surorund sound.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.
You'll find final specs for 'In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under December 16.
