Today's Nintendo Direct Mini dotted with release information.
During today's Nintendo Direct Mini and amid information relating to the new Nintendo 3DS Screenshare and Streepass options and titles, came a concise look at the rest of the Wii U 2013 release calendar.
First up are the Wii U exclusive console titles due throughout the rest of the year, which include 'Pikmin 3,' 'Wonderful 101,' 'The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker HD,' 'Wii Party U,' 'Sonic Lost World, 'Disney Planes: The Video Game,' 'Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze,' and 'Super Mario 3D Worlds.'
In the case of 'Pikmin 3,' Nintendo explained that those customers who pre-purchase the digital version of the game from GameStop will be able to download and play it one day before its August 4th release date.
Nintendo followed by listing all third party console releases expected to appear on the Wii U this year, which included 'Rayman Legends,' 'Just Dance 2014,' 'Watch_Dogs,' 'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag,' 'Batman: Arkham Origins,' 'Skylanders: Swap Force,' 'Disney Infinity,' 'Scribblenauts: Unmasked,' Splinter Cell: Blacklist,' and 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut.'
Lastly, Nintendo mentioned four significant downloadable titles including 'Cloudberry Kingdom,' 'Ducktales Remastered,' and 'Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party.' The fourth game is the long-awaited Virtual Console re-release of the SNES RPG, 'Earthbound' aka 'Mother 2.' The Virtual Console version includes a digital, GamePad version of the original bundled strategy guide, sans smell 'n' sniff bits. 'Earthbound' is available on the eShop today for $10.
