Walt Disney Studios has unwrapped final specs for 'Pinocchio,' which will see a Platinum Blu-ray release this March with hours of exclusive content.
As previously reported, Disney has set a March 10 street date for 'Pinocchio,' which arrives on Blu-ray as the studio's second Platinum Series title (following last year's successful release of 'Sleeping Beauty').
Disney has outlined final specs for this 70th anniversary remaster, which will receive painstakingly-restored 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround track.
Extras on this two-disc set include audio commentary with Leonard Maltin, Eric Goldberg and J. B.
Kaufman, the documentary "No Strings Attached: The Making of Pinocchio," additional "The Sweat Box" featurette, deleted scenes and songs, an alternate ending, extensive still galleries, rare rehearsal footage and the interactive game "Pinocchio's Puzzles."
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is a Cine-Explore mode (Bonus View required) with picture-in-picture making-of content, plus extensive BD-Live connectivity including a "Movie Chat" live viewing function, "Movie Mail," "Movie Challenge" interactive online trivia game, and a "Disney Rewards" program.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $35.99.
