No Country for Old Men

In an early trade announcement, Disney has revealed a March Blu-ray debut for the Coen Brothers crime epic 'No Country for Old Men.'

Having already captured major Best Picture noms from multiple critics organizations (including the Golden Globes), the Javier Bardiem starrer is a front-runner headed into Oscar season.

Disney/Miramax clearly hopes to build on that momentum, setting a post-Oscar Blu-ray release date of March 11, 2008, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD.

Tech specs are set to include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround audio.

Bonus features to be shared between the Blu-ray and DVD are three featurettes ("The Making Of: No Country For Old Men," "Working with the Coens: Reflections of Cast and Crew" and "Diary of a Country Sheriff"), plus the film's theatrical trailer.

At press time, it wasn't clear whether the Blu-ray would include any exclusive content, but we'll keep you posted as any additional information comes in.

Disney has set a $34.98 suggested list price for the Blu-ray.
