The "toughest race on Earth" is coming to Blu-ray, with the Discovery Channel announcing an early-April race for the documentary 'Iditarod.'
Sort of the Alaskan dogsled racing version of "Amazing Race," 'Iditarod' chronicles a competition amongst 96 teams as they attempt to cross rugged terrain with a pack of sled dogs.
Discovery will release the Blu-ray version on April 7, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
There are no confirmed tech specs as of yet, nor any announced extras. We'll keep you posted as final details come in.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.98.
