It's the end of the world as we know it and Blu-ray will feel fine this June.
In an early announcement to retailers, Warner has just revealed 'Falling Skies: The Complete First Season' starring Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, and Will Patton will have a Blu-ray release on June 5.
'Falling Skies' chronicles the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that leaves most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, survivors band together to begin the difficult task of fighting back against the aggressive aliens. Outside of Boston, history professor Tom Mason (Wyle) helps lead a small army named 2nd Massachusetts in the battle of their lives to preserve their families and what's left of humanity.
The Blu-ray release will be a two-disc set with 1080p video, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Extended version of pilot episode, commentary on selected episodes, Season 2 sneak peek, 2011 Comic Con panel, The Making of Skitter, Harness Makeup Tips, Director One on One, deleted scenes, International promos, and Day in the Life.
Blu-ray exclusives will include Falling Skies from Pencils to Print: The Comic Book Revealed featurette and a collectible trading card.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $49.99.
