Slip on those Gauntlets of Ogre Power and grab that +5 longsword! Two films based on the classic role-playing game created by Gary Gygax will be adventuring on Blu-ray this February.
In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers has revealed the double feature 'Dungeons & Dragons: 2-Movie Collection' for Blu-ray on February 15.
The release will include 'Dungeons & Dragons' (2000) starring Jeremy Irons, Thora Birch, and Marlon Wayans and the direct-to-video 'Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God' (2005).
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements for 'Dungeons & Dragons' will include: Audio commentary with Director Courtney Solomon and co-star Justin Whalin; Audio commentary with Courtney Solomon, cinematographer Doug Milsome and D&D game co-creator Dave Arneson; Let the Games Begin: documentary; Making-of featurette; Special effects deconstruction; Theatrical trailer; Additional Scenes and an Alternate Ending. The other film will include: Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God; Dungeons & Dragons Heroes Commentary featuring Wizards of the Coast D&D special projects manager Ed Stark and other D&D players; Rolling the Dice: making-of featurette; and The Arc: A Conversation with Gary Gygax.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is still undetermined at this time.
