Universal Revs Up 'Furious' Flicks for HD DVD

Bringing one of the studio's most successful franchises to HD DVD, Universal
will unleash the first two installments in the 'Fast and the Furious' series
on the next-gen format this Fall.
Due in stores on September 26, 2006, both '

Fast and the Furious' and its sequel '
2
Fast 2 Furious' will be presented in 1080p video,
and include Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital-Plus soundtrack options.
Extras on 'The Fast and the Furious' include four featurettes, a visual effects
montage, multi-angle stunt sequence, deleted and extended scenes, 3 music videos,
the theatrical trailer and as on the previous standard DVD "Tricked Out
Edition," an Enhanced Viewing Option. Also exclusive to the HD DVD release
is a feature dubbed "Picture in Picture Instant Access."
Supplemental details for '2 Fast 2 Furious' have yet not been announced.
Each title will retail for a suggested list price of $28.95.
