'Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection' Announced for Blu-ray

Eight classic monster movies will be packaged together in a sweet Blu-ray boxed set coming in October!

In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios has set 'Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection' for a Blu-ray release on October 2.

This set includes:

Dracula (and Drácula - Spanish version) (1931) - Supplements will include Introduction to the Spanish language version by Lupita Tovar Kohner; Audio commentaries with Film historian David J. Skal and Dracula: Dead and Loving It screenwriter Steve Haberman; Alternate Philip Glass score performed by the Kronos Quartet; Monster Tracks interactive pop-up feature about the making of Dracula; The Road to Dracula; Lugosi: The Dark Prince; Dracula: The Restoration featurette; The Dracula Archives; and trailer gallery.

Frankenstein (1931) - w/Audio commentaries with Film historian Rudy Behlmer and Historian Sir Christopher Frayling; Monster Tracks interactive pop-up feature about the making of Frankenstein; The Frankenstein Files: How Hollywood Made a Monster; Karloff: The Gentle Monster; Universal Horror featurette; The Frankenstein Archives; Boo!: A Short Film; 100 Years Of Universal featurette: Restoring the Classics; and trailer gallery.

The Mummy (1932) - w/Audio commentaries with Rick Baker, Scott Essman, Steve Haberman, Bob Burns, and Brent Armstrong, and Film historian Paul M.
