The Dark Knight, zombies, nerds, cheerleaders, clones, and more are all heading to Blu-ray.
New info has been revealed for several upcoming Blu-ray releases from Universal, Lionsgate, Warner Bros., Paramount, BBC, Severin, HBO, PBS, Scorpion Releasing, and Kino.
Here's a full rundown of recently revealed details and title announcements:
First up, Severin has announced plans to bring Andres Torres' Bag Boy Lover Boy starring Theodore Bouloukos, Jon Wachter, and Kathy Biehl to Blu-ray on July 25. Supplements will include:
-Audio Commentary With Director Andres Torres, Actor Theodore Bouloukos and Editor Charlie Williams
-The Student Films of Actor Jon Wachter: Got Light and The Never-starting Story
-Original Trailer
Meanwhile, HBO is set to release Guo Jian-Yong's Master of the Shadowless Kick: Wong Kei-Ying and Master of the Drunken Fist: Beggar So on August 8. No other details have been announced at this time.
Likewise, the network is prepping George C. Wolfe's The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks starring Oprah Winfrey, Rose Byrne, Renee Elise Goldsberry, and Courtney B. Vance for Blu-ray on September 5. Supplements have not been detailed yet.
Universal has announced plans to release Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack starring Vivica A. Fox and Cristine Prosperi on August 29. Special features will include:
-Around the World: Building the Squads – Discover how actors were able to master the escalating difficulty of cheer routines choreographed by Tony Gonzalez featuring teams from South Africa and Brazil.
-A New Routine – Filmmakers, cast, and crew discuss what sets the latest chapter of the Bring It On franchise apart, including focusing on social media's potential negative impacts in the world of all-star cheerleading. This piece also includes cheer teams from England, Ireland and Costa Rica.
-The Look of Bring It On: Worldwide – A look into how the set design and costumes provide a vibrancy and unique flair to the film's backdrop.
-Gag Reel
PBS is bringing the nature documentary Ireland's Wild Coast to Blu-ray on August 29 Supplements have not been announced.
As previously reported, The BBC is bringing Orphan Black: Season Five starring Tatiana Maslany, Jordan Gavaris, and Maria Doyle Kennedy to Blu-ray on September 12. Newly announced supplements will include:
-Island of Lost Souls, a detailed look at the Revival Village set and P.T. Westmoreland's Cabinet of Curiosities.
-The Epic Clone Shot, a behind-the-scenes view of Orphan Black's trickiest visual effects ever: the one-take clone switcheroo.
-Clone-Centric, a deep dive with the cast and creators of Orphan Black as they recollect Season Five's unique clone-specific episodes, each spotlighting a different fan-favorite character.
-The Beginning of the End, where fans can watch the cast and crew recount the pivotal moment in Season Five that made them realize that the show was truly ending.
-Out of the Black, a reflection on the series from the cast and crew as they work together to film two challenging final clone scenes.
Warner Bros. has announced plans to release The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Tenth Season starring Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, and Melissa Rauch on September 12. The 2-disc set will feature:
-#Just Ask BBT 2.0
-The Ever-Expanding Universe of The Big Bang Theory
-Mad Props
-Who's the Baby Now
-2016 Comic Con Panel
-Gag Reel
In addition, the studio is set to bring Shameless: The Complete Seventh Season starring Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy, and Ethan Cutkosky to Blu-ray on September 26. Supplements will include:
-The Shameless Politics of Frank - Featurette
-Growing up Shameless - Featurette
-Deleted Scenes
Likewise, Warner will release iZombie: The Complete Third Season starring Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders, and Aly Michalka on October 3. Supplements will include:
-iZombie: 2016 Comic-Con Panel
-Deleted Scenes
And rounding out Warner's latest announcements, is the animated film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm starring the vocal talents of Kevin Conroy, Dana Delany, and Mark Hamill. An exact release date has not been revealed, but the disc is expected to arrive later this summer. Supplements will include a trailer and the movie will be presented in both the original theatrical 16x9 aspect ratio (1.78:1) and open matte 4x3 (1.37:1) aspect ratio.
Paramount is prepping Philippe Falardeau's Chuck starring Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Elisabeth Moss, Ron Perlman, and Jim Gaffigan for Blu-ray on August 15. Supplements will include:
-All About Chuck - Behind the Scenes Featurette
Lionsgate is set to bring Doug Liman's The Wall starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, John Cena, and Laith Nakli to Blu-ray on August 15. Supplements will include:
-Audio Commentary with Director Doug Liman and Actor Aaron-Taylor Johnson
-Featurette: Facts from the Front Lines: A Visual Journey Thorough The Wall
-Behind-the-Scenes Vignettes
In addition, the studio will release Tim Smit's Kill Switch starring Dan Stevens and Bérénice Marlohe on August 22. Supplements will include:
-"The Visual Effect: Inside the Director's Process" Featurette
-Audio Commentary with Director Tim Smit
Scorpion Releasing has announced plans to bring Peter Carter's Rituals starring Hal Holbrook, Lawrence Dane, Robin Gammell, and Gary Reineke to Blu-ray later this year. Supplements will include:
-Audio commentary with star/producer Lawrence Dane, moderated by Lee Christian
-Video interview with stars Lawrence Dane and Robin Gammell
-Original trailers
Finally, Kino is set to release William Dieterle's I'll Be Seeing You starring Ginger Rogers, Joseph Cotten, Shirley Temple, and Tom Tully later this year. No other details have been revealed at this time.
