The $150 million-grossing Will Smith smash 'The Pursuit of Happyness' will come to Blu-ray day-and-date with the standard-def DVD on March 27, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
One of the biggest hits of the holiday season, 'Happyness' is the latest A-list new release from Sony to hit Blu-ray, joining an aggressive winter line-up that includes such blockbusters as 'Casino Royale.'
Full specs for the multiple award-winning drama include a 1080p transfer (codec still TBA0 and uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track, and the flick will come housed on a BD-50 dual-layer disc.
Supplemental details are also impressive, with the same extras as the day-and-date DVD version. Among the bonus features are a filmmaker commentary, multiple featurettes and a gag reel. There are no HD exclusives.
Sony has set a $38.95 list price for the Blu-ray version.
