Walter White returns to Blu-ray today! Plus pick up the fifth season of the hit series while it's currently over fifty percent off at Amazon!
As previously reported, Sony is working on 'Breaking Bad: The Fifth Season' for Blu-ray on June 4.
Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul return in their Emmy winning roles of meth cooks Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the fifth explosive season of 'Breaking Bad.' With Gus Fring dead, Walt’s transformation from a well-meaning family man to a ruthless drug kingpin is nearly complete. Forming a partnership with Jesse and Mike (Jonathan Banks), Walt proceeds to make a killing until the fruits of his murderous schemes are threatened by a new development in the investigation led by Hank (Dean Norris). Executive produced by Vince Gilligan and Mark Johnson.
The DVD and Blu-ray releases feature a never-before bonus scene called "Chicks 'n' Guns," which features Saul Goodman and Jesse Pinkman taking some precautions as their partner's management of his meth empire spirals out of control. It finally reveals how Jesse got his hands on some firepower.
Director and exec producer Michelle MacLaren and show creator Vince Gilligan tasked their writing team to create a unique scene that would fit within the show's established storyline. You can watch the behind-the-scenes video here, but the only way to watch this bonus scene is to pick up the Season 5 DVD or Blu-ray.
Supplements will also include: cast and crew commentary on every episode; deleted scenes; outtakes; audition and rehearsal footage; and all-new featurettes.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $65.99, but it's currently available at Amazon for just $29.99.
You can find the latest specs for 'Breaking Bad: The Fifth Season' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under June 4.
