Saddle up! The Coen Brothers' acclaimed western remake will be riding onto Blu-ray this summer.
In an early announcement to retailers, Paramount is readying 'True Grit (2010)' for Blu-ray on June 7.
The gritty and memorable film has been embraced by audiences and critics alike, earning over $165 million at the U.S. box office, nominated for 10 Academy Awards and named by more than 75 reviewers as one of the top 10 films of the year.
The original 'True Grit' starring John Wayne in his Academy Award-winning performance has already been released on Blu-ray.
This release will be a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Mattie’s True Grit, From Bustles to Buckskin—Dressing for the 1880s, Re-Creating Fort Smith, and The Cast.
Blu-ray exclusives include: Colts, Winchesters & Remingtons: The Guns of a Post-Civil War Western, Charles Portis—The Greatest Writer You’ve Never Heard Of…, The Cinematography of True Grit, and Theatrical Trailer.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.99.
