Duke, Roadblock, Snake Eyes, and the rest of the team will be protecting both Blu-ray formats later this year.
In an early announcement to retailers, Paramount's 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' appears to be in the works for Blu-ray.
'G.I. Joe: Retaliation – 3D' (2D included) will also be released at the same time.
A follow-up to the 2009 worldwide blockbuster 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,' which grossed over $300 million worldwide, Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Skydance Productions present, in association with Hasbro, a di Bonaventura Pictures production: 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation.' In this installment, the team is not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra, but they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. The movie stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Jon M. Chu; produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner and written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick, based on Hasbro's G.I. Joe characters.
Specs, supplements, and a release date have not been revealed yet, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is set at $39.99 and $54.99 for the Blu-ray 3D.
