New Line has unleashed final specs and box art for the next-gen release of 'Dark City,' which comes to Blu-ray this July with hours of all-new bonus material.

As originally reported last month, the eagerly-awaited Blu-ray release of Alex Proyas' cult classic will debut on July 29, day-and-date with a new standard DVD re-issue.

Featuring both the original theatrical version and a never-before-seen Director's Cut (via seamless branching), the BD-50 dual-layer presentation will feature 1080p/VC-1 video and an English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround soundtrack, plus English and Spanish subtitles.

The extensive extras boast an introduction by Proyas, multiple audio commentary tracks (featuring Proyas, writers Lem Dobbs and David S. Goyer, director of photography Dariusz Wolski, production designer Patrick Tatopoulos and film critic Roger Ebert), a pair of documentaries ( "Memories of Shell Beach," "Architecture of Dreams"), a production gallery, text essays and reviews, the original theatrical trailer, and on the Director's Cut only, a subtitle fact track.

Finally, New LIne has issued the final Blu-ray box art for 'Dark City,' which offers a tantalizing spin on the film's previous iconography:

As previously announced, New Line has set the suggested retail price at $34.98 for the Blu-ray.

You'll find final specs for 'Dark City' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under July 29.
