Rhino Announces First HD DVD Titles
Fri Sep 15, 2006 at 01:50 AM ETTags: Disc Announcements, Music, Rhino (all tags)
Everyone's favorite distributor of "the weird and the wonderful"
on DVD, Rhino Home Entertainment has become the latest indie to jump aboard
the HD DVD bandwagon, announcing three new music titles for release this Fall.
|
Due in stores on November 17 are recent concert films by three top music acts: 'The Eagles: Farewell Tour 1 - Live In Melbourne,' 'Cream: Royal Albert Hall - London May 2-3-5-6 2005' and 'James Taylor: A MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute.'
No specs, supplement details and pricing information is yet available for the releases, but are expected in the coming days.
Rhino, a subsidiary of Warner Bros., also controls an ever-growing library of eclectic music, TV and special interest programming, so we can only hope its first three HD DVD titles are just the beginning. We also certainly welcome the release of less "mainstream" fare in high def, which can only help broaden consumer appeal for the next-gen formats even further.
We've added new listings for all three of Rhino's initial disc offerings to
our HD DVD Release
Schedule, and stay tuned for full details as soon as they are announced.
