The acclaimed black comedy from Colin and Cameron Cairnes will slaughter Blu-ray in October.
In an early announcement to retailers, Music Box Films is preparing '100 Bloody Acres' for a Blu-ray release on October 1.
100 Bloody Acres weaves its inspired insanity around two brothers, Reg (Damon Herriman) and Lindsay (Angus Sampson), who are struggling to keep their organic blood and bone fertilizer business alive. Though their secret "recipe" for success -- using dead car crash victims in their product -- has been a huge boon to business, their supply has been gravely low in recent days. It's only when Reg stumbles upon three stranded travelers that he concocts a splatteringly gruesome solution to the problem involving the use of even fresher ingredients! But when Reg finds himself falling for the lovely Sophie (Anna McGahan), one of his intended victims, things get trickier, and gorier, for both his bossy brother and himself.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Celestial Avenue, a Short Film by the Cairnes Brothers; Behind 100 Bloody Acres Featurette; Bloody SFX Featurette; Grinding the Roadie; Storyboard Gallery; Mood and Gag Reels; Morgan's Organic TV Commercials & Radio Ads; Recording the Radio Ad; The Cairnes' Reenact the Shed Scene; Reg the Dog's Audition; and Theatrical Trailer.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $24.95.
