MGM Sets 'Valkyrie' for Blu-ray Flight this May

MGM is bringing the controversial WWII thriller 'Valkyrie' to Blu-ray in mid-May.
Defying months of bad buzz and mixed critical reaction, the Tom Cruise-as-a-Nazi-with-an-American-accent thriller turned in a more-than-respectable worldwide gross of nearly $200 million.
MGM (via Fox Home Entertainment) will debut the Blu-ray on May 19, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1) and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
Extras include two audio commentaries (with Tom Cruise, director Bryan Singer and co-screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, and McQuarrie and co-screenwriter Nathan Alexander), and a patch of six featurettes ("The Journey to Valkyrie," "The Road to Resistance: A Visual Guide," "The African Front Sequence," "Taking to the Air," "Recreating Berlin," "92nd Street Y: Reel Pieces with Tom Cruise and Bryan Singer," "The Valkyrie Legacy").
Included on a second, standard DVD is a Digital Copy of the film, compatible with PCs, PSP and iTunes.
Suggested retail price for each Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.
