Just in time for the big-screen remake, Fox has announced it will bring the science fiction classic 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' to Blu-ray in early-December.
Coinciding with the December theatrical debut of the big-budget Keanu Reeves update, Fox will release the original Robert Wise adventure on Blu-ray on December 2. (An extensive special edition was previously released on standard DVD in 2001.)
There are no tech specs or supplement details available as of yet, but we expect the full media announcement in the coming days so we'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.95.
You'll find preliminary specs for 'The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under December 2.
