In the latest in a seemingly endless series of delays, the much-anticipated 'Digital Video Essentials' HD DVD calibration disc has been bumped from its latest scheduled release date of March 27.

Created by legendary A/V guru (and famed perfectionist) Joe Kane, 'Essentials' was first announced for HD DVD release back in early October. It has since seen an unusually high number of street date bumps, so many so that we've begun to wonder if it will ever be released at all.

Hitting Blu-ray on March 20th!

The disc's distributor, DVD International, has not yet confirmed a new date for the release. Top online retailers, including Amazon, have also removed the title from their release schedules, also with no new date available.

We guess we'll just have to cross our fingers and hope that the next announcement turns out to be the final one.

Currently, there is no Blu-ray version of 'Digital Video Essentials' announced. We expect it in 2029, however.

You can find the complete specs for 'DVE' in our complete HD DVD Release Schedule, under the "Release Dates Postponed" section. Stay tuned...
