Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami's 2010 drama becomes certifiable on Blu-ray in May.
In an early announcement to retailers, the Criterion Collection has revealed 'Certified Copy' is coming to Blu-ray on May 22.
What seems at first to be a straightforward tale of two people—played by Oscar-winning actress Juliette Binoche and opera singer William Shimell—getting to know each other over the course of an afternoon gradually reveals itself as something richer, stranger, and trickier.
The Blu-ray will feature a 1080p transfer, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: New interview with director Abbas Kiarostami; Let’s See “Copia conforme,” an Italian documentary on the making of Certified Copy, featuring interviews with Kiarostami and actors Juliette Binoche and William Shimell; Trailer; and a booklet featuring an essay by film critic Godfrey Cheshire.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $39.95.
