In an early trade announcement, Anchor Bay says it is planning to issue a six-disc box set of 'Halloween' that will include a Blu-ray copy of the classic chiller.
According to a new advert appearing in this week's trades, Anchor Bay will celebrate the 30th birthday of John Carpenter's seminal 1978 slasher film with the 'Halloween: 30th Anniversary Commemorative Edition,' due in stores sometime this October (exact street date TBA)

Included in the six-disc set will be the same Blu-ray single-disc edition that Anchor Bay released on the format last year. Also included in the set are standard DVD editions of both the original 1978 and Extended TV Editions of 'Halloween,' plus the DiviMax releases of 'Halloween 4' and 'Halloween 5.'
Though no additional Blu-ray content or other exclusives are planned for the release, the set will come housed in a collectible package that includes a miniature bust of Michael Myers.
No suggested list price has been confirmed as of yet, but as always, we'll keep you posted.
In the meantime, we've added a listing for 'Halloween: 30th Anniversary Commemorative Edition' to the "Release Dates Pending" section of our Blu-ray Release Schedule. Stay tuned.
