A collection of fifty-six Stan Brakhage works is bound for Blu-ray in May.
The Criterion Collection is preparing 'By Brakhage: An Anthology, Volumes One and Two' for Blu-ray on May 25.
The 3-disc Blu-ray release will feature 1080p video, an LPCM mono soundtrack, and supplements will include: Brakhage on Brakhage, a collection of video encounters with the filmmaker; Audio remarks on selected films by Stan Brakhage; For Stan, a short film by Marilyn Brakhage; Excerpts from a 1990 interview with Brakhage; Footage from Brakhage's salon at the University of Colorado; Audio recordings of two lectures by Brakhage; and a booklet featuring a foreword and program notes by Marilyn Brakhage, as well as write-ups of the films and an essay by Brakhage expert Fred Camper.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $79.95.
