In an early announcement to the trades, Lionsgate has revealed it will bring 'The Spirit' to Blu-ray in mid-April.
Despite Frank Miller's involvement and an all-star cast including Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Mendes, 'The Spirit' failed to make the same waves with critics and at the box office as Miller's last graphic novel-inspired hit, 'Sin City.'
Hoping for bigger returns on video, Lionsgate has confirmed to retailers and the trades an April 14 Blu-ray arrival for the film, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Tech specs will see 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround audio.
There's no word yet on extras, but we'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.
You'll find the latest specs for 'The Spirit' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under April 14.
