New Korea Hotlap trailer shows RaceNet in action.
Codemasters is making a big splash this year with 'F1 2013,' and the biggest feature has to be the classics content. Purchasers of the 'F1 2013 Classic Edition' will be able to experience decades of racing history and F1 legends.
From Codemasters, "Make history in FORMULA ONE™! F1™ 2013 features all the cars, stars and circuits from the 2013 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™ plus, for the first time, classic content. F1 Classics is an expansive new game mode, introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker, in which you’ll race legendary drivers in famous cars on iconic circuits from the 1980s. This classic content can be played in a range of modes including split-screen and online multiplayer."
The game is now out on Steam and has been dated for the 360 and PS3. "Digital versions of the title will be coming to the PlayStation Network on October 8 and Xbox Games on Demand on October 15, with the 1990s DLC packs available at launch."
Codemasters also wants to remind players of the benefits of RaceNet, the game's central online liason. "F1 2013 players will get more from their game with RaceNet, Codemasters’ free online community hub. RaceNet will power regular community challenges, which began last weekend with a Time Trial event in Korea where players competed to set the best time on online leaderboards around the circuit in dry conditions in a Williams car. Each entrant will earn 1000XP which can go towards unlocking rewards, including in-game helmets."
