New PC version brings the game up to 60fps.
2014 has already seen a few re-releases, but now it's time for Capcom to get in on the action with the enduringly popular 'Resident Evil 4.' The game debuted as a GameCube exclusive before being ported to half a dozen systems. The game's much maligned PC version (controls, visuals) will now be superseded by the new 'Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition.'
This new version features "sharper textures, crisper text, a silky smooth 60fps framerate and full Steam support (Achievements, Steam Cloud, Trading Cards, global leaderboards, full game controller support) for $19.99." It also includes the Separate Ways segment, as well as EFIGS and Japanese subtitles. Those that pre-purchase on Steam will receive a 62 track soundtrack and 80-page digital archive full of 'RE4' media.
